What it cannot do
An API key is not full access. These limits are enforced on the server, not by the assistant.
- No access to billing: no subscription, no payment, no invoice.
- No email leaves AutoLeads: a wave is pushed to your connected tool (Lemlist, HubSpot, CSV), which does the sending.
- The assistant does only what you can do in the app: no extra rights, and no action the interface does not offer.
- It cannot delete a campaign, nor write a third-party tool's API key.
- Each key sees one team only, with the permissions you grant it, and is revoked in one click.

In AutoLeads, Settings → API keys and MCP. You choose what the key may do; the secret is shown only once.

- What is MCP?
- The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets an AI assistant use an external tool. AutoLeads exposes its features over that protocol, so your assistant can use them directly with no bespoke integration.
- Can my assistant contact my prospects on its own?
- AutoLeads never sends an email itself. Running a round pushes the contacts and their copy to the tool the campaign is connected to (a Lemlist sequence, a HubSpot list, a CSV, or your board), and that tool is what reaches people. The assistant can trigger that round, exactly like the button in the app: ask it for a preview first, and approve it yourself.
- Does the AI see all my data?
- It sees what the key allows. You tick the permissions when you create it: read-only, configuration, sending. Billing stays out of reach in every case, and a key only ever reaches one team.
- What if a booby-trapped web page gave orders to my assistant?
- Prospecting data comes from third-party sites, so we assume it may carry malicious instructions. It reaches the assistant inside a block explicitly marked as data, never as instructions, and the assistant is told to report any request hiding in there rather than act on it.
- Can I revoke access?
- Yes, from Settings → API keys and MCP. Revocation is immediate and final: any assistant using that key stops working at once.
- How much does it cost?
- Nothing extra: MCP access is included in paid AutoLeads plans. Credits are consumed as usual, only when leads are delivered.
